Beware, you might not get paid! Three months after participating in market research in exchange for promised monetary compensation, I still haven’t been paid. Got one response to an email 6 weeks ago saying please be patient, and now they’re ghosting me. No response at all.

Over the past 7 years, I have had multiple invitations from focus Pointe Global to participate in this or that upcoming focus group. The result is always one of two things: (1) I fill out the multi-page questionnaire online and am told at the end of the process that I am not suitable for the study; or (2) I fill out the multi-page questionnaire, am told they will contact me; they contact me 1-3 days later and leave a message to call back. I call back and they're *always,* *always* unavailable, so I leave a message and wait for them to call me again. They call within a day or 2, I do a phone interview with the screener (answering the same questions I've already answered online, plus others) for 10 minutes; they say I'm accepted and give me the details/instructions and hang up. I mark my calendar. Then a few minutes later they call back to inform me that they often overbook and they're terribly sorry but I am NOT needed for the study. This has happened several times. It's their M.O. Punks! Don't waste your time, because they certainly will.
