MUST READ REVIEW: First and foremost, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Liaison Landscapes and Markus and his crew of hardworking folks. Markus, if you're reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I mean that. There are no words that I could write that would adequately convey the level of appreciation that I have for both you and your company. LIAISON LANDSCAPE REVIEW: Liaison Landscapes is without a doubt, the best-in-class landscaper and the most qualified group of experts in the field. Their tireless effort and their calculated attention to detail are second to none. Day after day, they worked hard and never cut a single corner to make our backyard project a reality. They have an exceptional work ethic and they went above and beyond numerous times in order to make our project perfect. The whole experience was simply exceptional from start to finish and the integrity and quality of the work is nothing short of incredible. Some context: My wife and I had planned a very specific backyard project for some time but it continued to slip due to the pandemic. But, the silver lining was that it gave us time to vet dozens (if not all) of the landscapers within a 50-mile radius of San Francisco. The most promising ones were either super old school and not personable or they would tell us that they specialize in a few areas but not in the ones that mattered (concrete patios, for example). Most landscapers weren't familiar with the latest materials that we desired either, (eg. Trex) and they had no clue when discussing even the most simple outdoor decorating and aesthetic trends and options. Frankly speaking, the whole process of vetting dozens of landscapers was daunting and we thought that we wouldn't be able to find the perfect landscapers that can meet our needs. But when we thought all was lost, we finally got around to engaging with Liaison Landscapers and everything fell perfectly into its place. Thank god for that. Markus was very professional, thoughtful, and most importantly, easy to converse with. My most favorite aspect of working with him was that he was just so incredibly responsive from the start and he didn't overcomplicate or try to sell you on needless features. In fact, the very first impression that I had was when he responded to my request for a quote and literally came out the next day to walk me through it. I knew then and there that he and Liaison Landscapes was the company we wanted to go with. We didn't wait to lock in a contract within the next few days. Liaison Landscapes, thank you again for making our backyard project a reality and exceeding all expectations. You should be incredibly proud about the work and also about the way you conduct yourselves as a company. I truly wish more companies (not just landscapers) held themselves to the same standards as you guys do. Not only do I highly recommend Liaison Landscapes, but I also INSIST that you go with them for your project. Seriously, please do yourself a favor and at the very least, engage with them on any sort of project idea that you have and watch their skillful expertise unfold right in front of your eyes. It was a pleasure to work with Sean, Luis, and their crew. They renovated our backyard and helped us with everything from design and demolition to landscaping. Their work is beautiful and high quality, and they have great ideas about designs, plants etc. Both Sean and Luis are very responsive to emails and texts, and they were often on the job site. I would hire them again and highly recommend them for backyard or other landscaping projects.

Liaison does amazing work, and unlike many landscapers, they can do some serious hardscaping of your space. Unfortunately they are popular, so you may want to get your spot in their queue early on!

My experience with Liaison Landscapes was fantastic. From the design stage through execution, they could not have been more engaged and attentive to every detail. Sean did a great job of keeping his eye on the finances. Where enhancements were suggested they made sense and were not an upsell. Both he and the onsite foreman Rene were great at identifying possible savings to the original design as well, retaining the aesthetic I wanted and not impacting quality. The outcome exceeds what I expected, and for was more than cost-effective.

Most would agree that Niagra falls is quite the spectacle to behold. But not when it's happening in the garage underneath your front stairs on a stormy wet day . The time had come to bite the bullet, scrounge for every coin you could fine underneath the couch cushion (we found a total of $14.35), and get the stairs redone. Many calls were made, multiple pleas for help ignored. I get it, most contractors won't go all in a "small" project unless they get to tear the rest of your house down. But in our most desperate hour, only one answered the bell, Sean Hayes and Luis from Liason Landscapes. In tandem with the water proofers from Renaissance, they heroically stopped the niagra insanity, and they did it in style with a refreshing herring bone design. Fortunately, our wooden foundation was in good repair so a complete demo was not needed. The sun gods favored our efforts during the month of February 2020 (bummer month for the skiing enthusiast) as the crew efficiently finished our stairs before month's end. When the rain returned in March with reckless abandon, the only niagra falls i saw underneath our new staircase was the one on my ipad from a youtube video 😃. Shout out to Sean. He reached out to us literally within hours of sending a request. He was instrumental in getting our project done during that Feb window of dry weather. He explained everything succinctly, and now I know more about the process of waterproofing and reconstructing stairs than i care to know 😆. And of course, hats off to Luis and his special ops crew of Julio(el capitan), Francisco, and Rene. These guys were awesome, literally, every brick of the way. They were courteous and explained everything they were doing. Overall, we love our new stairs and the fact we no longer have to wear a life preserver to move around our garage. Liason Landscapes, the crown jewel of SF!
