The food is really good so I hung in there for quite a while. I went there because I live in the neighborhood before the pandemic. I used to bring my daughter. I would spend maybe $75 or $80 dollars (single parent) i would tip really well, always be extrenlmely polite but they were RUDE to me over and over and over. I like the food it was a block away so again I hung in there.. kill them with kindness i thought. The final straw was when the soup spilled and instead of helping me the long time waitress there just ignored me despite seeing it! It was unreal. She DEFINITELY saw it, the place nearly empty and she was just sitting down rolling napkins. I had reached my limit and walked out, never went back. Look at the Zagat review on the wall it even mentions the "chilly" staff. I would see them be SUPER nice to people at the sushi bar who dropped $300 bucks so can only surmise i wasn't rich enough for these jerks. Now if they are nice its because the pandemic scared them, in no time it will revert back. One sushi chef ONE guy was nice the rest were extremely rude. The food i will say again was REALLY good but not worth that toxic vibe.
