(Translated by Google) Local that attracts a lot of local youth. The true Italian owner was able to attract Italian tourists with impressive ease. However if you really can't take it anymore here you can eat a decent pasta dish and a Bindi dessert.

Yes, the staff are relentless in their flirting and yes it can't help but make you blush and smile. But that's not why I go. I go because they make fantastic coffee & have some of the best desserts in North Beach. Try bringing a friend, but don't tell them about the flirting. I love to see people experience it without knowing about it, cause they just have a grin from ear to ear. That's the fun part, but go for the quality of the food/drink!

Steps of Rome is really amazing. I really like their pesto pasta and also pasta with Arabbiata sauce. The waiters are really interesting. I strongly recommend you try to go their in afternoon or on a boring weekend when nothing is going. It can get crowded. There are a lot of great Italian restaurants, but the one difference Steps of Rome has it portion of food and price. I love their food. Service should improve, but you can't have perfection all the time. Go for the food.

Yet another Italian restaurant in North Beack, shocking. I find this one to be slightly overrated, but decent. Whenever I meet friends here I usually grab something at Calzones down the street first. The place is cramped and the food is mediocre by North Beach standards.

Where to go for a dessert after gorging on carbohydrate dinner? I am a fan of Steps of Rome. Love their tiramisu!
