I went to the Eyebrow Plus in Berkeley. They closed their doors. I still have credit for services. I emailed customer service and no one will call me back. I liked the store, but now I feel they stole my money. Don't trust them.

If I could give this institution negative stars I absolutely would. Not only will I never come back to this salon, I am weary of ANY salon after my experience here. I sincerely hope no one else has to get their hair cut at Amiri Salon. I booked an appointment for a cut and color here ahead of a vacation. I brought photos of what I wanted with me. The hairdresser looked at the picture for a split second, grabbed all of my hair, and cut it 6 inches in one cut without a word. She then presented me different hair colors. Now, I have never had my hair professionally colored, so I told her what I wanted (a honey brown) and she agreed that the color I chose would produce this result. Fast forward and I have bright red hair, a cut that is 4-5 inches shorter than I wanted and completely uneven. It was not even close to what I had asked for. She hardly looked at the pictures, and did a really fast and sloppy job: she cut my hair literally slanted and left dye all over my forehead. I now have to buy boxed hair dye and redo it (because I've done a better job myself), replace my white pillow sheets (which were stained by the dye she failed to properly clean off my scalp), buy a hair straightener, several hats, and figure out a way to even out my hair. There is nothing I can do to reclaim the 6 months+ of insecurity and embarrassment I'll go through until my hair grows out to even close to the length I wanted it, replace the photos and memories of my upcoming vacation, nothing to make up for the absolute devastation I feel.
