Alcatraz Cruises

The boat ride was nice. The audio tour of the cell house was the best part. Most of the buildings are dilapidated. The birds have taken over the island. The park rangers post the count of each bird and there are close to 5000 birds on the small island. The smell is horrible and the poo is everywhere. I really can’t believe they haven’t addressed this. I would not recommend this trip. Probably other ways to spend time in San Fran.

The boat ride gives your a view of the bay, the city and Alcatraz. We had an amazing weather so our picture were perfect. Try to bring an extra layer of clothing as it can get a little colder than the city. The prison history made you realize what the inmates had to live with. Don't miss this trip if you do not go to SFO too often.

The trip was decent (very dirty, not being kept up) the price was great espically for the boat ride over and tour. The only thing that worried me was before I left my car I seen a bunch of broken glass on the parking lot ground. So I decided to keep my car unlocked, so they could just steal my stuff instead of breaking my windows. Luckily when i came back my windows were not broken and still intact. But there was 4 other people on the same tour as us that had their car windows broken and stuff stolen out of their car. Apparently this is a normal thing here and nothing is being done about the crimilzations happening to peoples cars while you go to a national park for safety because its your tax dallors and they allow the area to be dangerous. But the whole time your scared that your car would be broken into and nothing done about it. Will not go back to San Francisco area. Its not worth the risk.

Pretty poor customer service. You pay for a ticket but then you get a different timed ticket 60 days later after it's too late to rebook or change your other plans. Their response is "Well you don't have to come". What kinda business scam is this. Hopefully the actual visit is better than their customer service if I can ever actually get on their vessel.........
