Alamo Square Deli

So happy to see a new business going in here. The menu is small for now but I'm happy about that because it seems like they have focused on creating a small but strong menu. Every item I've tried so far is delicious. My favorite, however is the roast beef as a hot sandwich. One thing I could see improving on is variety of bread. I'm a big fan of Dutch crunch bread myself, but I understand it's smart to keep things simple to start.

Had a fantastic sandwich a while back; however, went again recently and asked for sandwich with all the produce. I got a sandwich with iceberg lettuce and a few onions and a tiny bit of attitude. Should also note that it was made by a significantly younger dude than last time (perhaps a newer hire vs. the proprietor...) but it's too bad, because I'm unlikely to go out of my way to give them another chance unless I happen to walk by on foot and see the older gent working.
