The Barrel Room

Loved it, cozy and great atmosphere, Harry was awesome in his eye for the detail, our server Hugo had an amazing smile in addition to his attention to us, the gin tonic is amazing even if I'm not a drinker. Great place to take a date, the underground volt and second bar reminds me of Italian drinking holes. Must visit.

I was lucky enough to sample the Spain inspired menu and it was incredible. The prime tri tip entree was absolutely incredible and I would eat it every day if I could. The real star of the show was Johnny the bartender in the speak easy. His cocktails and stories about the city are worth the trip on their own. If you’re in the area and you don’t choose to go here you’re missing out.

The restaurant is both cozy and open with its high ceiling with plenty of spacing between tables to still have an intimate dinner with your guests, even when it's crowded. The staff is accommodating, catering meals for allergy issues and still having each meal feel like an experience withoit losing any quality. Their wines and staff knowledge of them will pair you a perfect glass to your meal and prefered tastes. The menu is regional and often changing but never disappoints. Our menu last night was from Spain. The food felt traditional with a signature that managed to bring back childhood memories of having Albondogas and yet experiencing it for the first time. Desserts were charming and worth sharing with each other, from the flourless chocolate cake to the tres leches cake with berries that paired with the 14 year old single malt scotch I ordered. This is a place you'll want to make your favorite when you're in the city.
