Lisa has been a staple in my health care routine for several years. Her knowledge and understanding helps me physically and mentally. From neck and back pain to sleep issues, Lisa listens and executes. She is gentle and makes sure you feel relaxed and comfortable. The cleanliness of her office is superb and she always takes the extra step to check in with me to see if there is something I may have not expressed that she can help me with. Lisa is someone I can trust to make my life more manageable.

High integrity business owner, high quality care provider and highly compassionate individual! I am a very picky person and I would be very comfortable referring friends and family to Dr Lam.

Re-posting as my initial review was removed as Ms. Lam flagged it as fraud given it reflected poorly on her practice, though I believe consumers have a right to access fair information. TL;DR is that the doctor's office seemingly intentionally misquotes pricing and charges more upfront in order to battle 'insurance coverage lag' and to 'reduce deductibles'. Seems like they are focused more on earning $$$ than servicing patients' needs. Ms. Lam seems nice but her business operations are suspicious at best. While Ms. Lam is seemingly a nice person, her office takes part in sketchy business practices that I think it is important for new patients to know. Ms. Lam's office manager quoted me in network prices and even stated that I would be covered in network; however, during each of my visits Ms. Lam choose to charge me more than my going rate in order to 'hit my deductible quicker' and to allow for my insurance to process claims on their timeline. After a few visits, I contacted my insurance to find out that Blue Path acupuncture is in fact not in network and they misquoted me. Assuming this was a mistake, I reached out to the office but Ms. Lam claimed that this was my insurances fault. After a back and forth, and documentation showing Ms. Lam's office incorrectly quoting pricing to me, I ended up $500 out of pocket and Ms. Lam refused to accept responsibility. I reached out to California's board of acupuncture to ensure they know of these practices. Navigating through insurance and medicine is challenging enough, but the last thing a consumer needs is for a 'doctor' to squeeze pennies out of them to make a larger profit.

Wow. I just came on Dr. Lam’s google page and was stunned to see a bad review here. I have been under her amazing care for over 3 years and can not recommend her enough. She is incredibly well trained and versed in her craft. I always leave my appointment more than satisfied by not only the results but just having her support in all aspects of my well being. I come from a health care background and understand the dealings of insurance policies. It is never up to the business owner to give you a 100% quote of a patient’s health care plan. It is only customary and a added service they provide by giving you a quote of the patients’ estimated portion as laid out by the insurance terms. How the insurance company decides to pay out each claim Is solely up to insurance adjuster. If you wanted to know your exact coverage, it is up to the policy holder to do their due diligence and find out how much their plan covers specific treatments. There are literally thousands of different plans under each insurance companies so there is no way the heath care provider can give you a complete breakdown of your individual plan that The patient chose. That said - I understand what my policy covers and how many sessions I’m allotted per year and I am aware of my portions - even the ones I pay in full when I use up my sessions as that is MY responsibility. Lisa is truly amazing at what she does and she treats everyone with respect. As you can see from her yelp reviews - she has been providing amazing service to her patients for many many years. I wish people were more thoughtful and smart about how they use public reviews. Spreading false information will only have negative consequences to people who truly need her care. Without any hesitation, go see Dr. Lam... and do your own homework I’m regards to what plan you signed up for.

I've been working with Lisa Lam for the past couple of years and she is a big reason why my chronic disease is in remission. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She always takes the time to understand how my body is feeling and adjusts her treatments accordingly. I've always been impressed with the results. She also makes great recommendations on ways to reduce stress. She's also been helpful in getting my treatments covered by insurance. The customer service is always top notch. Blue Path Acupuncture is a soothing, clean, inviting, and relaxing environment. I would highly recommend Lisa at Blue Path Acupuncture whether you are new to acupuncture or looking to find a highly knowledgeable and patient practitioner.
