I've had this place on my list for years. I'm glad I finally got the chance to visit. The GM seated us and helped us pick out a bottle of wine. He let us sample a couple of wines before deciding on a bottle. The food was super good. The chevre with pesto was delicious! "The Dandy" flatbread with mushrooms was great as well! The service was A+ - it was such a nice experience overall. Def recommend.

We used to love coming here.  Easy to walk over and grab a glass of wine and some food.  We walked over at 5:30 this evening.  Outside tables were mostly empty.  Inside tables almost completely empty.  Bar seats available.  We asked if we could sit inside.  The bartender asked if we had a reservation.  No.  He said they were fully booked.  Okay.  Obviously everyone in the entire place had a 5:30 or 6pm reservation... or they just didn't want to say hey- you have 30 min or an hour until someone else's reservation.  We could have had a glass of wine in 30 min.  Could have eaten in an hour.  Could have sat at the bar.  It was SO weird.  I also don't understand why they leave no tables for walk-ins.  You can't make same day reservations without calling.  Yeah, no.  So we went to Cucina Sorella.  I miss first come first served at Village Vino.  I'm not going to make a reservation at my neighborhood wine bar.  I'm disappointed and I'll miss VV, but there are other places literally steps away to go.  The bar at Cucina is so lovely!

So my boyfriend and I didn't realize that Ponce's was closed on Sunday so we found this place on Yelp.  We walked down and in the front door. Nobody acknowledged us so we decided that it must be self service on the seating. We sat and the bartender came out from behind the bar and asked if we had a reservation. We said no and asked if that was a problem.  He said he "didn't think so and would check." He walked away and never came back. No water,  no menus, no welcome in, no offer of drinks or food. We left. We won't be back.  Down the street at Clem's now. They are super nice and have an extensive menu of drinks and Belgium beers.  Service matters folks. A simple "welcome in" or  "sorry we don't have any tables available due to reservations " would have gone a long way.

Wines, wines, wines! This place is oozing with wine and we loved our time at Village Vino! Definitely make a reservation as the restaurant is pretty small & tends to get packed-especially on a Friday night. Love their selection of wines which I'd say is evenly divided between whites and reds. Their menu is simple, some finger foods, flatbreads, salads and of course charcuterie! I will say though, the price of the charcuterie board we ordered was a little steep [$38]. Came with 3-4 different cuts of small round meats, 4 different kinds of cheese and some veggies & bread. The meats were cut a little too small, the cheese choices were really good & the warm bread was excellent. Minus a star for the flatbread that they forgot to put in for us. Ended up getting it, but after a longg while. I love that you can order a half glass of some of the wines- that way you can sample everything and not commit! Service was pretty good once some one acknowledged us. While it is a small restaurant, I feel like the staff is even smaller. I only saw about 5 employees so the wait times can be long. There are tables outside as well & the place is cutely decorated with wines all over the walls. They also have a wine club, inquire within! Will definitely be back to try out some reds.
