TSB Health Inc: Susan Wojtkiewicz Bell, LMFT

I went to see Susan Bell through a very difficult situation. I showed up with panic attacks, anxiety, depression, and a sense of being immobilized. She was engaging and supportive. From my experience, some counselors do ALL the talking or NO talking at all. Neither of those scenarios are beneficial to the patient. But Susan had a great balance. I was able to express what was on my heart each week, and received a good amount of guidance and feedback. We worked on how to reduce my anxiety, through breathing techniques. In the sessions, I learned more about myself and some life skills. She helped me see the whole picture, a "bird's eye view", to broaden my perspective. Looking back, I think the feedback provided was to help me see my Options, not to push me in any one direction. Family and friends are only able to support us to a certain degree. Then, they have to get on to living their lives, and fixing their own problems. In many cases, reaching out to a Life Guide is an excellent option.

My children and I have been seeing Susan, individually and together, for years. I credit her with assisting myself and my children back to center through very, very challenging times. While she may not be a fit for everyone, those looking for a therapist who is down to earth, extremely wise, kind, and someone who will challenge you in places you need to grow, rather than simply sit and nod, Susan would be an amazing fit. Susan is one my family's favorite humans because she has done so much for our spirits.
