Absolutely amazing. Met all my expectations & then some! Ordered a custom Zenith Fish from Chris and within a few weeks dream come true. He met every detailed I asked for. 5'10x23x3. I'm a bigger guy 200lbs and this thing is floaty. Super comfortable paddling and easy entry. So stoked! Thanks again Chris!

I wanted and felt ready for a custom surfboard and I found Chris Ruddy online. His experience and knowledge of my preferred surf spots made me feel that he was likely my best shot at getting a board that really suited me well. I absolutely love surfing and everything that the water offers, I can surf but but i’m far from able to surf like some of the locally grown talent here in San Diego. I had referrals from friends but Chris seemed like someone I should talk to first because of his experience. Chris was more approachable than expected, he was humble and genuine. Chris was generous with his time and asked me all about what I wanted in a new board and explained what he recommended and why. No buddy selling, just an honest and straightforward approach to helping me. I had two sessions so far this week, and my new board fits like a glove. I already have 4 other boards (5’,11” - 9’6”) that are fun, but not customized for me. My new board, shaped by Chris is so much better than anything I’ve tried (I also demo’d 6 boards from a local shop this summer). If you are past the white water basics and standing up you’ll likely be better off with a custom board. Enough said- just call Chris and you’ll see for yourself what I am trying to say. Chris Ruddy shaped my first longboard and as a short boarder for many years, Chris worked with me in creating a board that can combine the maneuverability of a shortboard while combining the capability of nose riding. Furthermore, I came up with an abstract design and Chris brought it to life. He is very knowledgeable with his craft and goes above and beyond for his customers. If anyone is looking into getting a custom board of any shape, I highly recommend Chris Ruddy Surfboards hands down.
