If you ever find yourself dealing with Scott Higgs (The owner of this company) do yourself a favor and find a different company. Upon arriving from a 1500 mile drive on the word that Scott would meet us in a timely manner at the house he had confirmed earlier this morning would be showing us, this poor soul appeared to be completely out of touch with reality. There were few explanations as to why anyone would behave with the amount of disrespect and disregard for a client who had just driven half way across the country to rent his property. After failing to the necessary legwork to show us the rental and get us moved in, everything that a normal person would have done (cleaning the property for the next tenant, preparing official walk through and lease documents, confirming with property owner that they were okay with us as tenants) was not completed in the month we'd been communicating with Scott. While talk to Scott, he seemed as if he was either mentally not present due to either the use of narcotics or a developing mental disorder. We were attempting to rent the "Point Loma Village steps to SD Bay", but he also manages the "Old Town San Diego Villas" that we found on AirBnB and VRBO. We first communicated with his wife, Louise, who assured us all was in order. My absolute strongest recommendation is to not attempt to rent from this couple, allow them to manage your rental, and heaven forbid allow them to do anything in relation to being your real estate agent. While they seem like nice people, they are completely unreliable and have a history of failing and dropping the ball as managers of properties.
