Thomas D. Harpley, PHD

I started seeing Dr. Harpley approximately 11 years ago while going through a bitter divorce. He was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the emotions I was feeling while trying to start over and move on. Over the years, I have returned to discuss a variety of situations; both personal and professional. He has always been kind, patient and most importantly, profoundly helpful. Not only does he do a tremendous job of listening and providing feedback specific to the issue at hand, he equips patients with tools to grow while learning more about yourself. I have recommended his office to many people over the years. I’ve been pleased to see that others have appreciated his insight as much as I have.

I have known Dr. Harpley for more than 10 years, not as a patient but as an interpreter for his Spanish speaking patients. Having interpreted for many psychologists and doctors , I was always impressed by the way Dr Harpley really cared for his patients and always helped them in a professional way to understand how to cope with their physical and emotional pain. I was doing my job, but I was also learning from all his wise counseling. Thank you Dr Harpley for always caring and doing your best to help your patients. You taught me how to be more empathetic and understanding as well.

I began seeing Dr Harpley a few years ago. From my very first session I could tell right away he was very compassionate, professional and kind. During our sessions I've cried, yelled, laughed and probably every emotion in between. Never once did he make me feel ashamed about my emotions and reactions. Dr Harpley helped me through the worst time of my life. Without him I'm not sure I would have been able to make it through the darkness that my life had become. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. My rating is solely based on the customer service that I was shown by the doctors incredibly rude wife. She is the woman that answers that main phone-line and sets up all appointments. While trying to reschedule an appointment that I missed due to work she continuously disrespected me and my mother. Repeating that I was a no show therefore I would have to pay an additional $25 fee. I made her aware that I could afford the fee, however, she continued to repeat to me that the fee would need to be paid in full and that they will not see if the fee is not paid. I politely informed her that since she is so concerned that I can't afford $25 I will be looking else where for an appointment. She told me that would be fine and gladly hung-up on me. So if you are looking for a very rude and disrespectful family business for psych evaluations then this is the place for you.
