Skyrider Photography

I found Skyrider Photography off of Yelp and contacted them because of their 5 star rating. I needed professional pictures that would not make me look stuffy or ultra conservative. Kimberly and Romeo delivered!! They were both very friendly (as was their dog Odin) and at the same time extremely efficient. They have a relaxed vibe which put me at ease and resulted in images where I look both professional and natural. I highly recommend them especially if you are not comfortable taking pictures and are wanting efficiency as well as results. A++

I am not an actor or model but do work in the entertainment arena. An article I had written was being published and the magazine needed a headshot. Well, believe it or not, I had somehow gotten around having my mug displayed next to my writing for the past several years. I begrudgingly looked up "Los Angeles Headshots" on Google. After looking at a handful and not being very impressed I landed on Skyrider Photography. Their photos were obviously of a different calibre. I was interested in the Studio Lit Sessions which start at $500 for two looks, makeup and hair included. And seeing that I was going to be using these photos for years to come and that industry/artistic people would often be seeing them I wanted excellent quality shots and was willing to invest. I called up and spoke with Kimberly. She explained the process thoroughly and likened the studio shoot to a "fashion shoot for headshots". She explained how much of the time would be spent taking test shots for lighting, wardrobe as well as the hair and makeup. I was able to book and get in the following week. Her description was correct. The largest part of the time was spent on hair and makeup and test shots. The shoot was very collaborative. I was a part of the whole process and it ended up feeling more like a small film project than a photo shoot. The images far exceeded my expectations and the professionalism and genuine care Kimberly and Romeo showed were comparable to the type of work you find at the top of the entertainment industry. I'm always the one grimacing in the photo. I don't intend to do it, it just happens when someone produces a camera. Kimberly and Romeo solved the problem. Kimberly mentored me and I overcame my nerves, she is so bright and caring. Romeo has a naturally kind eye, he knows just when to release the shutter to capture the best in the sitter. My husband said he's never seen a photo of me that actually looks like me - until now. I recommend Skyrider whole-heartedly and look forward to referring friends and clients to them.

I am so thankful to have found Skyrider Photography 2 years ago when I moved to LA. Kimberly and Dennis have shot me numerous times with a variety of looks!! Several of the images were posted to my agency's web-site and gotten me booked!! Most of all they always provide a professional space to work in, yet casual enough to get you relaxed for the camera. Also they love to think outside the box when it comes to which poses, lighting and creative direction is needed to get "The Shot". Every experience with Skyrider is imaginative ,collaborated and eye catching !!

I recently had head shots taken with Skyrider and could not be happier with my experience and photographs. From the second I walked through the door, Kimberly and Romeo made me feel comfortable and at ease. They offered great tips throughout the shoot and made sure that everything was perfect -- from stray hairs, to the alignment of my necklace, to the songs playing on the iPod. As for the pictures, they are a great quality and Skyrider provided me with all of the images in digital format. Now, the hard part is just to pick which pictures I am going to use! I couldn't be happier with my experience and will absolutely recommend them to all of my friends! Great pictures and great people.
