Had the most unreal experience here yesterday. A few months back, Scott the store owner purchased my grandmothers desk from me (which had been handmade by my great grandfather) because I wanted to see it restored nicely and go to a good home. He offered $40 but said he didn’t have cash on hand which should have been a sign. I even delivered it to him. He wrote me a receipt for it and I went on my way. As he was restoring it he sent follow up pictures so I could see the work he had done before selling it. Yesterday I walked in to collect the $40 with the receipt in hand. I refreshed his memory and handed him the receipt. His first response? Anger and outrage that I had interrupted his lunch, and that I would ask him for $40 cash which yet again he said he didn’t have. He jumped out of his chair talking about how he couldn’t possibly purchase furniture from people because he didn’t have the permit for it and yet he was all too happy to take my grandmothers dresser only months before. I calmly tried to rehash his memory as to the exact dresser, telling him he had texted me photos, described it etc. only to be interrupted by him as he raised his voice telling me to get out of his store and that he didn’t need my business, he wouldn’t have done that, he didn’t remember anything about my dresser and on and on. He began getting overly aggressive with me and started to position himself between me and the rear door where I had parked. At this point I began to feel unsafe over his rapid aggression and decided to remove myself from the situation telling him I would be contacting the BBB to let them know he was running a scam. As I made my way around him he physically chased me out of the store yelling after me that he didn’t need my business and that I was a terrible person. All of this over $40... He happily poached my grandmothers dresser, made a profit on it, and is not only refusing to pay but making patrons feel unsafe. I’m a tall guy and I was extremely uncomfortable, I can’t imagine what would have happened if it was my wife who had gone in. This guy is a scam, please go give your business to someone who cares about their customers.

I love this store, and just found out that the owner is having a retirement sale! 20%-40% off all items until their last day -- in December 2018. I bought a wicker storage trunk years ago at their place on Adams Ave. and it has survived many moves. Quality items are found here! And they are always replenishing their inventory. Stop by and be delighted at the sweet finds at an affordable price 😊
