Lovely place, we came for tacos and they did not disappoint excellent menu, almost too many choices! Burritos are huge and filled with delicious stuff, also highly recommend. Great margaritas - we had the regular ones with salt. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, would definitely come back! Recommended dishes Fish Tacos, Bean Cheese and Rice Burrito More

Casa de Fred's is a bit touristy with a "Baja Bar" vibe but I guess that's to be expected in Old Town. Excellent service and the food and drinks were pretty good. I definitely recommend it as a fun Happy Hour spot for drinks and small plates, but I can't really comment on their full menu. Food : 4/5 | Service : 5/5 | Atmosphere : 4/5 More

Fred's has such a fun upbeat vibe with fun music and bright colors.  The service was fantastic! sandiegolovezfood If you are looking for the best Mexican spot in Old Town San Diego, then you need to stop by @fredsoldtownFred's is known for their tacos and their ginormous Molcajete bowl, so we stopped by for lunch to try them out!Not only is their food delicious but the bright colors and fun vibes will keep you coming back for more!What we tried: Ginormous MolcajeteSo huge! Carne asada, chicken breast, mahi mahi and bacon wrapped shrimp were perfectly cooked. They are loaded into a pipping hot Molecajete with cream salsa verde, guajillo, quest fresca, jack cheese, cilantro and a large cheese crisp. Fried jalapeño and spring onion to boot! Served with homemade flour tortillas, rice and refried beans. ~ complimentary tortilla chips and salsaCinco Chicken ChingaderasChicken, Beans, Rice, and Cheese stuffed into Panko Flour Tortilla pinwheels and topped with Sour Cream, Pico, and Radish. Served with a side of Tomatillo Crema.
