San Diego's Mexican food scene is dominated by Baja-style everything. Take a trip to Mexico City and check out the killer campechano, al pastor or quesatacos here. The staff is like the Mexico City family you wish you had. And did I me mention they serve local beer on tap? Heck yes. Love this spot and it's sunny patio!

Amazing food, great margaritas, lovely off-the-tourist-track-a-bit location, and if you follow the recommendation of the server you'll be in heaven!

Grabbed some dinner after a Chargers game. A nice spot in Old Town for a bit of authentic mexican food.
I got the Alambres which was incredbile and really enjoyed my meal and the outside dining. However my friend got the burrito and said the meat was grisly and not very good. He also wasn't a fan of the margarita but I liked my meal so much that it deserves 4 stars!
Also a big fan of the salsa and complimentary chips!

Bought a few "gift cards" from some sort of restaurant group they belong to to get customer or something. I was hungry and in the area so I figured I'd use some up. The waiter was nice but a bit distracted, I ordered a quesadilla and got a taco I was hungry so I didn't even say anything and ate it :D . Taco wasn't bad, not comparable to tj tacos like others said but to be fair i have never tasted a taco in the states that has that same flavor as tj tacos. My girl said she liked her food an alambre my stake (a "house favorite" 😛 ) was gross tasted like it had been boiled and flash burnt on the skillet no seasoning so it was bland, water filled, and burnt(my girl agreed) that is hard to do. waiter kept forgetting things so he didn't get a super good tip (my tips are earned) but he did try so it wasn't horrible. Over all you can get better food quality and service at a denies for half the price.
