This is a professionally managed public opinion research firm that does a great job. Unlike other pollsters who try to hide their identity, I appreciate how Competitive Edge is up front about who they are and what theyre doing when they contact you to take a survey. Ive even had the opportunity to receive gift cards in exchange for my time answering questions. Just be sure to check your email spam folder for surveys - sometimes they end up in the wrong place, but they are legit.

This company (or one with the same initials) calls daily, often before 7:30 am, will not leave messages, and has been reported to the National Do Not Call List in Washington - yet they continue to call - daily. They will not respond when I answer and will not leave a message or any way to ask them to desist.

Received an email invite to participate in a survey, and would be compensated with a 5.00 gift card. (Several to choose from). I completed the survey and requested an Amazon GC. Was told I would receive a claim code within a few days. The next day, there it was in my inbox!.

Toxic company. Do not work here. Lack of management skills. Below market compensation. Owner/CEO makes many promises and keeps none of them. Makes employees do tasks for which they're not compensated. Calls his employees late at night because those are his hours. Expects employees to use their personal mobile phones for business and yet does not pay for the phone bill. Very toxic, stay away from this company. Owner only interested in his image by posting non-original material on a "newsletter" that doesn't generate any new business Clueless when it comes to managing a business. Ask them why no one works in the multi office suite in San Diego. Owner asks if you're a Baseball fan, and if you are, which team...unless it's the Padres you get scrutinized and laughed at. He bases his hiring on obscurity. He asks questions that are flirtatious with state laws.

The national do not call list is for telemarketers. Competitive Edge doesn't sell you anything but we sometimes offer some form of payment if you meet certain criteria. These people are not crooks, we sometimes don't have control over what we can and can't offer. Even if you feel like things are too scripted or biased its all the more reason to respond to these inquiries. If we call several times its because you don't take the time to tell us to put you on the do not call list. The employees have feelings too so if you answer with vulgarity and are being rude unfortunately some employees will make no effort to actually remove you. Now keep in mind they should, but its impossible to keep a constant watch over that. I've worked in the el paso center and I've learned so much from clients and the people I speak to on the phone. Its given me a variety of perspectives from both major political parties. More people should give it a listen.
