ROCK STAR BEER FESTIVAL SAN DIEGO

Ugh I miss these events!!! There is always the perfect combo of high energy entertainment and beer (plus ciders, sours and seltzers which have a special place in my heart). Looking forward to the next time I can go out to one. Ona. side note...The review posted by Ronnie is in reference to a different festival based in SD, Google might wanna check up on that. The owner of Rock Star is actually a male (not a female) but he is a real stand up guy. Good person to know when you attend the events, he recognizes regulars!

Had a good time,1st band was pretty good, the second band (linkin park cover) kind of sucked and quit well before closing. The REAL Problem was that many of the breweries RAN OUT OF BEER! Really? You run out of beer at a BEER festival?? You bring extra cegs and take them home if you don't tap them! Belching Beaver, aftershock, and several others ran out completely as early as 8:00 (1 hr into the event). Majority were down to one beer, the one not many liked, by 9:00pm, an hour BEFORE it closed. If you pay good money to taste many breweries then you should be able to until closing. Highlight was dang brother wood fired pizza, they did a dang good job. Parking was simple/free but I'll pass next time.

So I want to be clear: I'm reviewing the virtual beer festival that was specifically called Chico Beer Fest thinking they would have local beers. Here are the issues I had: 1. Poor beer delivery, warm beers and no padding in the box. Comparing with a few friends who ordered the box and the swag was not consistent. Everyone got glass beers and we got plastic cups. 2. Misrepresentation of beers- this was labeled as a specific City and there was no attention to detail. All videos/entertainment videos were generic and obvious pre-recorded. 3. When sharing information on the live youtube comments, we were blocked without having support contacting us. Buyer beware: this is not a local beer festival, and they should not label it as such. Would like a refund.
