They're an AMAZING dentist with a staff that feels like long time friends (both front and back). They did an GREAT job on my root canal and my fillings were done so well that I almost can't tell they're there. I've been to bad dentist in the past but with them I felt safe. I especially LOVED how they would answer ALL my questions in understandable terms, give me great advice on what I should do and being able to schedule all my appointments in a short amount of time. Definitely HIGHLY recommend ( : Will miss you guys, Connie

I typically try to refrain from writing bad reviews, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed and concerned over the treatment my sister received during a recent visit. An unnecessary assumption was made regarding her being a Medi-Cal beneficiary. This assumption was not only baseless but also made her feel VERY uncomfortable, which is unacceptable in any healthcare setting. As a licensed professional in healthcare, I find such presumptions deeply disrespectful and contrary to the ethical standards of patient care. It's imperative to remember that the primary focus of your practice should be on providing medical care; front desk staff does not need to "guess" what insurance you have. The assumption about my sister's insurance and the subsequent discomfort it caused her underscores a significant lapse in professionalism and empathy. My sister, a successful business owner, deserves the same respect and courtesy as any other patient. I urge your practice to reflect on this incident and prioritize patient care over business considerations.

Many years now this place is listed on Denti-Cal for us people who happen to be on it, it's misleading as it shows it's in Clairemont Mesa, however, for Endodontics, it's not there, you have to call another dental office, North County Dental Specialties, up in Escondido. For those of us with no transportation, or limited income, who hate to drive with a passion, we had have to drive back and forth several times for consults, coming back again, (they prescribed me ABX once) and they also lost my x-ray or something, their doctors aren't there often, for instance. You won't be getting the Star Treatment here if you use Denti-cal. Today, Reem, (she said her name was that), laughed, "out of kindness", she said, because I said I wanted a second opinion there with them, since according to her, they only do first time root canals, and no re-treatment. OK, yet these places get funded for us to get 'healthy smiles' and they said I had the option of pulling my tooth at my general dentist, which is scary, Endodontists there, who isn't listed on the site, like Tarabishi, but a Dr. Gavin, I saw a couple times or more, and another doctor later on, this last year. Both want to treat me but their office or manager or who knows what, want these fancy 3D cone x-rays about $800/1K to make sure they do a great job on the root canal, the one last doctor explained, or their assistant, or both, but they lost me there. Made not much sense to me, because I don't have that amount to spend on my tooth that feels chipped basically.. I mean, I just wish they would treat the patient and not complain about the amount Denti-cal pays them or something... SIGH. Edited to add my reply to their reply... here's my reply; WELL it's misleading to get referred to someone in Dentical, when it's a POSSIBLE RT, Did I say it was a Definite? YOU did not ask for the record, referral, anything like that.

Great place. Worth the wait. The assistant was dual licensed with talents as he did NOT insert annoying blade gum cutting film in my mouth to take x rays. I got my teeth cleaned by a doctor from Mexico. The combination of the back and front staff exceeded may expectations. Ooh, and did I mention that Dr Gonzales is a female, she is so gentle. I only want to come in with this particular crew, because I don't like the dentist. LOL

Great place, but be prepared to wait at least an hour before waiting in the back.

Hello Gabriel, we are an office that provides care to patients with all types of insurance including many who have medi-cal. We do not consider people who receive Medi-cal to be less than any other type of people. We provide equal services to all our patients. If you or your sister find it insulting to have medi-cal we apologize as that was not the intention of the staff. Many people have medi-cal (including successful business owners) especially following the pandemic. We understand that it cannot always be a good fit and wish you all the best.

Hello Raquel, this review doesn’t pertain to anything to do with our office. We are listed with Denti-cal as doing endodontics because we perform first time root canals. We do not perform retreatments because that is out of our scope and we don’t perform procedures that we cannot do well. Denti-cal doesn’t pay us anything to be providers with them. We are paid for services when we provide them. I’m sorry to hear that there is no endodontist nearby that is in network with your insurance, but we try to provide as many services as possible. We wish you the best.
