Berkley Construction is the team you want. I built an ADU with Berkley and they were amazing. Great customer service, worked quickly and always felt prioritized. Timelines and costs were reasonable and realistic. Keith runs a wonderful business and is great. We worked primarily with Robert Barnes. You truly feel like family, not just a client. He is always available and works hard for you. Cant recommend this company enough. 10/10.

We have engaged Berkley for two sizable projects so far: one primarily interior-focused and the other primarily exterior. Both came in on budget and were executed with a combination of careful planning a high overall quality of workmanship. We will definitely be working with them again.
Both projects were challenging. Our house is about a century old, and preserving that vibe while modernizing things is important to us. The interior project involved substantial engineering as well: opening up a large basement area to make it usable by essentially building a new, steel and glue lam based foundation in place of the old forest of posts & beams. The exterior project required some tricky hardscaping & fencing, the building of both closed and open shade structures attached to the house, and some mission critical drainage work. Both projects also included some custom kitchen cabinetry, which was beautifully done.
Keith Berkley follows a sound methodology for making sure estimates are realistic, and he assembles solid teams when it comes time to execute, with stellar project management from Robert, and standout attention to detail & on-the-spot problem solving from the likes of Eric and Tim. They're a consistently friendly, courteous, and fun crew to work with. Highly recommended.

My family of four were living in a 1100sq, 3 bed, 1 bath house. The one bathroom was not cutting it. The kitchen and dining rooms were small and dark. The master bedroom was anything but. We met with several construction companies including several of the big names advertised on the radio/tv and got quotes.
In the end we went with Berkley Construction. Our reasons were: Keith Berkley, who we met first, seemed to understand what we were looking for in the remodel and seemed to know what he was talking about; the price was about in the middle of the range of quotes; and lastly, a friend had just finished a significant remodel and extension with Berkley and seeing their house and listening to their experience, gave us some assurance about the professionalism of the company, and the appearance and quality of the end result.
Once we got started on the process, Joe helped us draft up plans and go through the permit process. He listened to our ideas, had great suggestions, and drafted a great plan. The permit process was as seamless as a permit process can be and he was always quick to text information and respond to our texts.
Once it came to building, Robert Barnes was our project manager, and he was great. He managed all the many subcontractor teams that rotated through the house, foundation, framing, drywall, electric etc. I was responsible for getting certain parts like the bathroom faucets/shower parts and he was clear about what was needed and when, with timely reminders. When my bathroom supplier delivered and left my cast iron bathtub in the middle of the sidewalk, 20 steps below my house and where it needed to be, he swooped in at a moments notice, and arranged for some of his crew to carry it up to the house. He was fantastic at communicating and being there when you needed him.
I hardly need say that house remodels are not a pleasant business. There are change orders (ouch), delayed supplies, subcontractor no-shows, permit inspections that go sideways. With the exception of change-orders (largely due to inflation of the price of supplies and beyond Berkleys control), we had no such problem. The process isnt easy, but our experience was about as easy as an extension/remodel can be. There were some minor delays but we moved back in roughly when expected.
The end result: We have a fantastic master suite with a new second bathroom. We have a large kitchen-dining area with tons of light. We have about 400sq ft extra overal, in addition to a whole other bunch of things they did. Thank you Berkley. We love our new house!

We have used Berkley on several of our projects over the years. They have handled a lot of challenging odds and end projects that we cannot find people to do and their finished product every time was beyond exceptional. Joe has been our Main PM for our work and his bids are on point and he accounts for everything needed in the project to avoid Change orders at all costs. Scheduling is always easy, and they have met every deadline we have given them. The whole team at Berkley construction has been outstanding to us and a pleasure to work with.

Our project manager, Robert, kept our entire kitchen remodeling project on schedule. And while a few hiccups are always expected with such a large project, he was incredibly responsive and always made things right. And all the subs were fantastic: demo, tile, cabinets (you rock, Pete!) countertop, drywall, plumbing, and electrical (and you do, too, Mike!). We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. Will definitely use BCI again. Highly recommended.
