Mandarin House

Mandarin House is old school American - Chinese. Large portions, good quality, the big pieces of pork is excellent! Order the peking duck - it's awesome. This is not panda express. I've eaten panda express too many times and it's fast and bad, mandarin house is old style and great. It's your dad's favorite Chinese with the dark red velvet and the flaming drinks. It's not for hipsters, it's for everyone!

I ordered the Kung Poa Chicken. It tasted like it had been precooked and re-heated in the take-out container in which it was delivered to me. A single order cost me around $15 Dollars and honestly was equal at best to Panda Express. I will never eat here again and will ostracize any of my friends that continue to give these people their money.

Very good experience. The server was great and the food comes in great portions and very good price. Definitely one of the best chinese food restaurants in San Diego.

Slow service. Awful food. No vegetarian/ meatless choices. I opted for shirmp bcause they had no meatless options, and then got meat in an awful greasy eggroll. I had my credit card out forever waiting to pay. I had to get back since I was on a lunchbreak. They kept ignoring me. I put cash on the table and left. (No box or anything for the awful food that was left over. - Plus in the menu they say they actually charge for boxes). Finally I got some attention. The waiter ran after me saying I did not pay. I told him I did and that the service was awful and so was the food. He actualy yelled at me in the waiting area. This place is awful. awful. awful. Just people staring at each other as they wait for service and gross food. There are many more places in San Diego worth your while. The only thing great about this place is the location.
