Nice small-business cafe with a good atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food. Great place to get lunch. Added bonus is the clean bathroom.

This was my first experience there, and it was good. The food was good and the coffee woke me right up ;-) The young lady who served me was very kind and really cute. I was the only one in there, but I enjoyed it. I rarely give 5 stars to restaurants in San Diego because almost all of them are over priced.

Terrible spot for lunch. Took almost an hour for 3 sandwiches to come out. We were the only people there. Not sure why it was so slow. Wish I'd known that before ordering and paying for my food.

My original review was rather slanted... I was upset because I thought the biz was being very unfair/inconsiderate to employees. This may frankly still be the case, as it seems to be a bit of a revolving door, but I suppose I shouldn't assume anything and I will let them voice their opinion if they have one to share. Regarding the attributes most patrons will care about, the food is excellent. It's a little mom and pop shop that makes delicious croissants in-house (VERY rare), excellent sandwiches, and on and on. The couple that runs it is very kind and hard working. I come here very often and plan to continue to do so. And, unlike another review suggests, their food is NOT premade... not now, and not since I started going there over a year ago. Not sure what they were referring to besides maybe some of the breads/pastries they bake daily.
