Experimental Aircraft Association - EAA - Chapter 14

I'm a non-pilot member (so far) but this is a great group of folks that love flying and helping others to enjoy it as well.

Great place and great community of pilots and builders. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Everyone here loves airplanes and it shows. You can spend hours talking about all kinds of different airplanes people built and trips they have taken in their airplanes. There are some very cool and unique airplanes here. Hangar spaces may be available, but there may be a wait list. The Young Eagles program is very active at Chapter 14. The program is designed to give children between the ages of 8 to 17 an opportunity to experience flight in a general aviation airplane while educating them about aviation. All the pilots and staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Almost every Saturday there are meet-ups going on at the field in the morning, and lots of pilots fly down from other airports.
