North Park Acupuncture

This is a bit overdue. Gayle helped me immensely during the pandemic (when much of the other parts of my health care team became not available due to various reasons). She is knowledgeable and uses her intuition to provide the best care. I saw her on a regular basis, until we moved away, and enjoyed getting to know her and Angelina better as humans. Previously, Ive had acupuncture with a couple of other acupuncturists that were trained and had moved from China and the care that Gayle provided was as good or better. Shes also inspiring when she shares her own personal accomplishments.

I have been a regular here for a while and regret not reviewing it sooner. I absolutely adore North Park Accupuncture! I have developed so much trust in Gayle. She's so gentle, respectful, inspiring, and just wholesome as could be to be around. Her skills make a big difference in my daily life since Accupuncture is a treatment that I've responded well to. Scheduling is a breeze and the hours are very convenient. Angelina is such a doll! She's always so sweet to talk with and helps with the scheduling. Lots of options. I have a rare nervous system disease that causes me pain and have used mobility devices for long enough to develop a lot of pain in other parts of my body. I am also a mental health patient. When I leave acupuncture, here, I always have something new to look up or share with someone else and literally sigh huge sounds of relief afterwards for a while. I come out feeling like a weight was lifted off of me and feeling inspired and motivated for what else my day has in store for me. If you're on the fence about Accupuncture and are looking for a great place to start there are even more methods for treatment Gayle is skilled in and you will receive A+ care. Please don't hesitate to just call and ask them some questions to verify my information given. They will be sure to eagerly answer them!!

I found the place through my insurance company's web site and they were listed as in-network. The company had several providers listed as in-network, so I waited a couple weeks for an appointment.  I was told in writing that I was covered for 12 sessions with a $40 copay.  This is what I had expected to hear from a covered, in-network provider, and what I had expected to hear from them because I specifically brought up the coverage requirement when I made my appointment.Nearly a couple weeks later, the day of my appointment, the receptionist admitted that none of their providers are in-network with Cigna!  An absolute contradiction to how they represent themselves on Cigna's site.She acted as if the type of coverage doesn't matter and became argumentative; insisting that I would pay the same amount.  Nothing in the admissions paperwork would have limited my responsibilities as she insisted.  $40  40% when your deductible is not met. Had I followed her "advice," the insurance company would have paid them nothing leaving me stuck with an undisclosed amount of money to pay, or, they would get nothing more than $40.DO NOT COME HERE if you have CIGNA; they are not in network. Do not rely on their representations of coverage; verify it yourself no matter what they say.
