My GO TO restaurant in SC. Wonderful aroma & ambiance makes you feel like you are a gem in Italy or France when you enter. All dishes are delicious and service is exceptional! Literally, one of the 2 best meals I've ever eaten in San Clemente. So sad we didn't try it sooner as my neighbor has been raving about Village Mediterranean for a while! The lamb Oso Bucco was better than FABULOUS!! Hubby had the Sea Bass with Crab pesto, Pear salad and Panna Cotta....also excellent. The biggest problem for me was choosing among the many delicious sounding entrees!! Guess I'll have to go back soon to try them!!!!! But seriously, skip the chains from Laguna and try this place You won't be disappointed.

The Moroccan Chicken Stew was really good but the Lamb Shank was AMAZING.  Eric gave us great service and his recommendations were spot on.  Great place for nice evening out.  Definitely going back.

This restaurant came so highly recommended to our group last night. Unfortunately, it was a little underwhelming. This was my second time to have a Tagine cooked meal.  I was completely unimpressed with the description of this seafood  Tagine. Unfortunately , my meal came out with six bites of salmon and a ton of celery, a few carrots... this dish was missing 75% of the description on the menu. And the portion was absolutely ridiculously small.The restaurant is in a nice location on the main street in San Clemente parking is street parking . It is a tiny restaurant we noticed that the front door has to be left open at all times in order to have the air vent with the amount of people that are crammed together in a small space.Luckily , we were there celebrating a birthday, which made it very nice for us to laugh and enjoy each other's company. However, we felt like we were putting our waitperson out most of the time. Never a smile. One of my friends had the beef cheeks with vegetables, and she enjoyed it very much. This is definitely not a restaurant that I could recommend for food or even want to come back to.
