As a Transaction Coordinator, I've worked with many Escrow Officers. Michele Piazza is certainly one of my favorites. She always goes above and beyond for us, the client and our Agent's. Strongly recommend her!

I have had the privilege of working with Michele Piazza, senior escrow officer, with Old Republic in San Bruno for many years.  Michelle is professional, friendly, responds quickly, goes over and above the call of duty, and is very polite.  Michelle consistently exceeds my expectations. We have had several trust sales and there has never been any delay.  She is so organized that trust gets approved before we are ready to put the property on the market.  If an HOA is required she handles that at well.  My job is so much easier that Michelle is on my team.

I've not been overly impressed with my interactions at this office as a transaction coordinator. We've had to use this branch twice in the past year and the overall communication has been less than stellar. I did enjoy working with Maria Vinje who helped out our escrow officer - Michele - on our past transaction, but there was no communication from Michele until close to the end of our escrow. There were a few mistakes made which were corrected just in the knick of time, including our client's signing appointment and a charge to the wrong side.Additionally, during our escrow with them in 2016, our Escrow Officer left the office and we were not told that, nor were we told who our new Officer would be. Communication is so key in transactions.

The service is horrible. I called the office at least 10 times just to get a quotation on escrow and title insurance fee. No one actually called back. I emailed it to branch manager Maria DeVolder, and she just replied escrow fee without title insurance fee. I finally got hold of her on the phone, and she quoted a fee, then I said it seems low, and she quoted another one which seems too high. Finally, she quoted a reasonable one and saying she keyed in wrong information in the computer. I don't have any confidence in her as she is so unprofessional. I asked her to send me a quote in email to confirm, she said year on the phone but nothing happened for few days. Emailed and phone called couple times to follow up, but in no avail. I can't believe this company is still doing business with such poor customer service. And Maria is really the branch manager? I'll never do business with them, period.

I came here to leave a bad review and now that I see their overall rating, it makes total sense! We chose this title company for our new estate purchase by default as it was requested by the seller's agent. Came here to do all the escrow (etc.) paperwork for the transfer of ownership to the new property. It all seems nice and heavenly until the papers are signed and the money has been paid.Now that they got their portion of the fee, they lack the effort to tie up all the loose ends to complete the process. Within our HOA statement, there was a move-in fee that was promised by Old Republic they will cover. It's been over 8 months since we moved into our new place and the move-in fee is still showing up on our bill. I have contacted our point-to person from Old Republic (Michele Piazza) and she has yet to take care of the issue. Over the course of 8 months, I have contacted her through email. She would either tell us she's working on it, the office has lost the check, or fail to give us any update. To this date, the issue is still not resolved. My last two emails (emailed her once a month since Nov 2014) are unanswered by her.Lack of communication and updates creates an untrustworthy office to handle your BIG purchases. I would give this title company second thoughts when you are being requested to use them for your home purchases.
