What a bad outfit.  I have had a checking account there for years.  I went in with some change - quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies.  The manager says no, we don't take loose coins.  Why not?  They are U.S. currency.  We only take coins in wrappers.  Here are some wrappers.  OK.  I start putting coins in wrappers.  Here's the wrapper of nickels, I say.  No, says the manager, we won't take this because it isn't full.  We will only take a full wrapper of coins.  I say what is this?  This is U.S. currency!   He says you can go to Safeway and use their coin cashing machine - they will charge you something for it.  I say What?  This is ridiculous! This is obscene! The manager says if you can't be civil you can leave.  I say ok, you can close my account.  And I did so.  I told him I was furious and that I would put a review on Yelp and that I would speak with the FDIC.  It's either money or it isn't.  I am now fulfilling half my promise.  Keep away from ANY bank that won't let you trade coins for bills because your coins are loose.

Out of all the banks I have dealt with in my life time, and I'm 66 years old. This is the most friendly, and understanding bank I have ever dealt with. Thank you US bank. I do recommend this bank.

The Branch Manager spent so much time helping me navigate a challenging financial issue that I can't praise him high enough. I'm now very confident I have joined the right bank and branch.

Been a loyal customer for years. Went to make a deposit and guess what? They are closed. Indefinitely. Every branch in Marin county. None open. Unable to make deposits in person as I do not have an ATM card. How many elderly people will find themselves here? Until ATM card arrives, all of my bills will have to wait to be paid. Poor, poor, response to the current Corona issue.

I've always considered this the friendliest bank in the area, so I write today in hopes that an awkward incident in the bank doesn't become a habit.   I went in to make a mortgage payment at 11:20 a.m. this day (Wednesday) - a simple, very quick process of handing over a check with the payment stub already made out.   Today, there were two tellers, a man and a woman.  Two elderly people were talking - at great length and with no sign of stopping - to the male teller.   I always stand well-back to afford privacy to anyone doing business, but these people were long past doing business and were still chattering away.   I edged closer to the counter, unnoticed by them, hoping the teller would wrap it up.  When the couple finally got the drift and moved on, the teller shut his doors and told me to wait for the other one.   I did wait, but the same thing was going on at her window.   An older woman was chattering away, her business long finished, and it went on and on   Finally, I walked up to counter and asked the teller to just run my check so that I might leave.   The customer at the counter instantly got her hackles up, suggested I had no manners, and demanded to know (a) if I was a Californian or (b) was born on the east coast like other "rude" people. She then kept interrupting the brief transaction to voice her criticisms of me.  She made a sarcastic comment even as I walked away.  My entire transaction took perhaps a minute (actually, longer in this instance than it ever had before - recording the payment is almost instant).   I did not respond to her taunts, but neither did the teller.  Teller could have ameliorated the situation by explaining that the process would take only seconds.  I had already explained to her that my 78-year-old wife (who is not in very good health) was waiting in the car, and I needed to get her home.  Bad show, US Bank, I am sorry to say.
