I was scheduled for an installation for my shed last week and I received a late email that their truck broke down. I had to miss work and canceled my electrician to install power outlets. I have not received an email or a phone call to see when my shed would be installed.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND UPDATE My experience with this company has been horrible. I purchased a shed through Lowe's who contracted Backyard Buildings for the build. From the onset, I've had problems with this company. Their communication and response time is horrible, and there's a disconnect between what office and field staff report. With my shed, there were problems with the construction of the initial build, and efforts to correct one problem resulted in a new problem. In late Oct of 2021, I requested a refund because I was done with this company. Staff at Lowes and Backyard Buildings were noticed of my intent. However, on 1/19/22 I learned that both Lowes and Backyard Buildings closed my case as being "Completed"...not hardly. 4 months later and I'm still battling to rid myself of this company. I just want my money back so that I can go buy a shed elsewhere, because I refuse to accept such unprofessionalism after paying them thousands of dollars. Extremely frustrated. UPDATE: On 1/21/22, I reported Backyard Buildings and More (hereon on BBB) in Sacramento to follow up on my request from 2021 for a refund. I learned that I was scheduled for an appt on 1/26/22 and was informed someone would call to schedule a time. I informed staff that unless they were picking up the shed for the refund, there was no need for an appt. On 1/26/22, I had not heard from BBB and assumed pick-up arrangements were being Made, so I went on about my day. When I arrived home, I found a msg from staff reporting they were in route. A day or two following, the manager informed me that staff had to inspect the shed before it can be authorized for a return and on 1/31/22 the inspection was completed. However, on 2/10/22 I spoke with the manager who informed me that BBB were removing themselves from the project and I had to go through Lowe's to get my refund. When asked, I was informed that they were not going to remove my shed because "I refused repairs." After further discussion over the fact that I had requested a refund in late 2021 and was no longer interested in keeping the shed or dealing with the company, I was directed to contact Lowe's. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY After waiting 3 months for shed installation I canceled my order. Reading the reviews I understand that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with this company. Most reviews are highly negative. Had two cancellations on my installation date and no guarantees on when somebody - anybody would show up to work. . They must have the worst contractions who dont show up, dont call and could care less. I really didnt feel good about having such flaky, dodgy people working on my property. Very bad feeling about this company and the people they use. WARNING

We went through Costco to purchase shed and installation from them, they asked to send in pictures of where the installation will take place, once we sent it in, they schedule us a date 2 months out. Once the date came for installation, they had to reschedule, which I was a bit annoyed since it was out 2 months and had to push it out some more, but ultimately I agreed. They then claimed they never received the picture I sent them and requested again. I thought it was odd since they sent us confirmation date of installation after I sent in the pictures 2 months ago, but I decided to send the pictures in again. Once they receive the picture again they decided it wouldnt work and cancel the whole order. It was very frustrating and disappointing as I waited over 2 months for this. If they felt like they couldnt install it in my house, why didnt they cancel and return our money 2 months ago? This is a very bad experience. Please be careful purchasing from this company.
