Iron Mountain

i don't normally leave a review to warn consumers but this poor experience is note worthy. The customer care associates are pleasant however there is poor service within the field organization. Knowing that we have to schedule an associated to be on site to access our suite, they have failed to show on 4 separate scheduled days. Wasting our time we will be looking for another company to manage our document shredding service.

I am so completely unhappy with Iron Mountain! My company has had records stored since 1991- we no longer have an Account Rep to ask questions or go to directly for support. You guys raise our rates which seems like every 6 months and do this without notifying us. Your customer service line is an absolute joke, no one calls back in the "24-48 hour" timeline and your customer service team has nothing better to say when there's an issue other than "I'm sorry Ma'am this is all I can do". Ive heard the spiels, expedited, emailing destruction, call you back, all just words to make the customer feel like youre accomplishing something when in reality you do not. I have literally been working on straightening out our IM mess since February!! And for Christ sake GIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS A PHONE NUMBER TO YOUR DESTRUCTION DEPARTMENT. Pretty stone age that one department cant communicate with another. Calling it a NIGHTMARE to deal with you guys is me being nice. We are taking our 1000+ boxes and leaving, after you charge us the ridiculous fees of course. I will be posting on every public media outlet possible to warn potential customers of how gut wrenching it is to do business with Iron Mountain. SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been trying for a year to get their shredding services to come back and empty our business shred box, but since they have never sent us an invoice we do not have a customer number and they cannot find our company name on file, they will not remove the box with their big company logo on the front. I am going to throw this box in the dumpster and hire a better service company.
