Tiny Tots is a great school and wonderful place to have your child grow! This is Sacramento's first Co-Op Parent Participation school.  Parents/family members have the option to participate and help out with the school through activities in the classroom, field trips and other school functions.  By participating, it will provide you with an opportunity to learn how to handle your children and others in different situations and learn ways to help them grow.  This was especially helpful for my daughter with transitioning out of her separation anxiety and being able to socialize with other kids and adults.  The teaching is a "learn through play" philosophy but they do have a schedule that they follow throughout the day that involves free play, art, reading time, and snack time.Teacher Emily is truly a role model for the parents and children.  She does an incredible job creating an environment that is very caring and safe for the kids.  She has a way of dealing with the kids that borders on superhuman.  In fact, all of teachers do a great job supporting each other to make the school as warm, welcoming, and overall a great place for your children.  Safety is one of the school's biggest concerns.  They are great about keeping in ratio so the kids are being watched and that teachers/parents are not overwhelmed.   There are always reminders of keeping gates locked properly and to be mindful of our surroundings. The school follows a nut/sesame free zone for snacks/lunch and reminds everyone to be aware of any allergies that other kids might have. The school has a large outdoor area both in the front and back.  This includes play structures, swings, a sandbox and even a zip line.  There are also chickens and goats and indoor animals.  Plenty of areas for the children to explore outside.  Inside there are many stations where the kids can have fun.  They have a puzzles section, dramatic play area with costumes and props, playroom with blocks, toys and bunkhouse, art room with paints, crayons and markers, and a quiet room where they can relax or read stories in. There will always be something for the kids to do.There are so many positive things I could say about our experience here at Tiny Tots.  More so than any review can fully explain.  Although the property itself could do with some improvements, don't let that sway your decision.  This school is a wonderful place that will enrich your child's life. Tiny Tots has taken care of my daughter for the past 2 years and helped build a foundation for her to thrive at her new school and in life.

Tiny Tots is amazing. The students, families, and Teacher Em are all fantastic. Both my boys would move in and never leave if I let them. Emily teaches the kids in a way that nurtures their curiosity and creativity.

We love Tiny Tots and can't imagine sending our kids any where else.  Our son comes home every day covered head to toe with paint and full of stories about his adventures in the forest.  Teacher Emily nurtures his curiosity and he really loves learning because of her. We love that the kids have so much room to explore. They ride bikes, climb trees, and collect eggs from the chickens.

Our family is so grateful to have found Tiny Tots! Our high-energy, sensitive four-year-old is thriving here and LOVES coming to school. Big selling points for us were the huge outdoor space with playground equipment, two giant sandboxes, swings, trike path, and wooded areas. My daughter loves animals so the four chickens, snake, fish tank, and rabbit are a bonus. Inside there's an art room, dramatic play room, block room, quiet/reading room, science area, play dough table, and more. The kids have so much room to explore, learn, play, and be kids. Remember that preschool YOU went to? When preschool was about learning to get along and having fun? The one with a rope swing and Tonka trucks and mud puddles? THIS is that place. The best feature of all is Teacher Emily. She's warm, caring, and wonderful with kids.   She knows how to engage them and use "teachable moments" in such a way that the kids don't even know they're being taught. We love her!I've checked out lots of different options and Tiny Tots fit best with my parenting and education philosophy. At a time when high-pressure early education is becoming the norm, Tiny Tots offers a refreshing, developmentally appropriate alternative. This is a parent participation school, so you'll be investing some time and energy here. But the parent community is organized, cooperative, and supportive of one another, and the benefits to the kids are huge. I wish we'd found Tiny Tots earlier!
