My two children attended Discovery Montessori and it was a wonderful experience for both of them, and for our whole family.  Our children couldn't be more different in personality, temperament, learning style, etc. and the staff at Discovery Montessori helped meet their individual needs but also fostered independence, a love of school and the importance of being kind considerate community members.  I feel like preschool age is a magical age for children, before the harsh reality of "real school" sets in.  Discovery Montessori keeps the magic alive for the kids by encouraging imaginative thought, creative play and happiness.

Our daughter is happily starting her second year at Discovery Montessori. She often asks if we can come back later to pick her up, because she's in the middle of project and doesn't want to leave. Spanish and music classes are included in the curriculum and for a small charge, ($14 ) gymnastics. We've found the staff to be extremely communicative, loving and nurturing. Additionally, the level of parent participation has exceeded my expectations; the school is made up of an amazing group of children, parents and teachers alike . I would highly recommend Discovery Montessori.

I sent both of my children to discovery and the LOVED it.  It was a great experience for both of my children.  It was a nice blend of structure and play time.  The staff was caring and understand of the differences of each child.  My son was an "out of the box" kind of child and they worked with him very well.  They never made my son feel like an outcast and included him in all activities.  To this day when we drive through east sac, my kids want to drive past discovery.  It holds a special place in their childhood and hearts.

The minute I walked into Discovery Montessori I knew it was for my son. We've been there under a year and he is thriving. As an active three-year-old he gets plenty of time to run around outside, yet he also enjoys the quiet hands-on activities as well, such as arts and crafts and reading. The teachers are friendly, well-educated and encourage play as a means of learning - something that's often overlooked in other schools. I really feel like my son is well-cared for and the small setting means each child's individuality is respected and nurtured.

we have been thrilled this past year with discovery montessori off of elvas in east sacramento.  the teachers are sweet, friendly and bright.  the program is well organized and offers a lot a varied experiences for the kids.
