I interviewed several draftsman for a multi-family conversion project and Steven Tibbs did a thorough preliminary due diligence on the property. Every other draftsman were requesting their fee immediately not knowing if the project could be done. I would highly recommend using his services.

Our project was a pergola, 28' X 12' to be added to the rear of our home to create a sun-protected outdoor entertaining area - and to limit the summer sun's load on our air-conditioning inside the home. We didn't want a 'cheapie', plastic-looking aluminium structure, but a more substantial redwood, that would add value to our home. Steve of Amber Design provided the plans which pretty much, skated through the Council approval process, and delivered what we were looking for - looks great, and will withstand a force 7 gale - couldn't be happier.

As a credentialed interior designer with experience in all phases of design and construction, I have enough knowledge to know what I need, and not always enough time to provide it. I drew a plan for my personal residence, but knew that time to do an effective job of drafting was in short supply. I found Amber Edge Drafting (then Fenix5 Drafting) on Craigslist and they did a superior job of drafting my project. It took a couple years to get my act together enough to submit for permit, and when I did the time lag generated comments from the County Building Department. For an hourly fee, the team at Amber Edge updated my drawings and responded to the Building Department comments. Their quick and accurate work allowed the plan to sail through the final steps and gain a fast approval. I would highly recommend them!

When I started my project I wasn't sure how the process would go. I had an office building I needed a floor plan for. They explained everything to me over the phone. Scheduled my site visit and got my plans back to me in about 2 weeks. It had some city corrections but they fixed those in a couple days and I got my permit the following week. They do a good job.
