I had my car towed to Duane's after getting in a  single car accident. It was towed to Duane's right at closing. There was an employee that met us but they didn't let the tow truck driver pull my car in, instead left it outside their gates. That's not why the bad review. I was so very disappointed in Duane's. I have brought a few cars to them in the past and thought I had made a good decision, however, this time...Duane's staff caused an additional $5000 of damage to my car, which ultimately caused my car to be totaled! I loved and took great pride in my car and I was so disappointed. Although the manager, Hector, admitted that a staff member opened the driver's door, which caused the additional damage, he stated they HAD to open the door to obtain the VIN. This just isn't true. I could have given it to them, my insurance company could have given it to them, and it was also on the dashboard! The tow truck driver and I both deliberately didn't open the door, knowing it would bend the door, therefore causing additional damage. I also mentioned this to the staff member that met us with the car. but it clearly didn't make a difference. The entire process took almost two months, I had to buy a new car (used), and now have a car payment just to get a car equivalent to my original car that they caused additional damage to. Very, very disappointed! I'm seriously considering filing a small claims case against them to pay for the damages that they caused which could help me pay for the car I had to buy!

If youre doing under insurance, I dont recommend it here. They reuse my bumper instead of putting a new one.

The repair went alright which is the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars. Absolutely 0 stars for the experience though. One of the subvendors was driving OVER 80 MPH in my vehicle, triggering a notification of a speed violation on my car's app. I called the shop to figure out what was going on and specifically asked that they drive the speed limit. Unfortunately, AJ was on the phone both when I initially called about this and when my insurance asked the shop to follow up. He was immediately extremely unprofessional, having a hostile tone and attempting to patronise me multiple times. Never once did I raise my voice, knowing better after working in retail, so I was shocked by the immediate rudeness. My issue was not the fact they drove the vehicle at all. I'm well aware of the necessity both to drive it around and bring in subvendors. My issue was the fact that they were speeding in my car without prior notice. After my call, it was clear through reviews on here it wasn't his first time being unprofessional towards clients and quite frankly, I'm not surprised. He attempted to say the speed limit it 70 and that the subvendor was just going with the flow of traffic so (in the most condescending tone you could muster) "it actually wasn't reckless." Believe it or not, you can be reckless while still going with the flow of traffic. If the speed limit *was* 70 MPH, they were still going OVER 80. I've learned my lesson and will only get repairs done at the dealership or through shops that they trust rather than the closest one recommended by my insurance. I would sooner sell my car and just buy a new one before coming back here.
