Drove down from Washington state, spent $300+ to make the trip/get a place to stay for the night to come in for an application appointment, and got the money orders ready. Got to the appartment for our appointment and got told that the appointment meant nothing and that it was simply first come first serve and that they were supposed to have told us on the phone that the appointment didn't mean anything if someone could get in to their appointment sooner. At least a phone call to let us know the place we were going to be applying for got claimed would have been appreciated.
So we're in California, few hundered dollars shorter, and not even the application to show for it. If they offer you an appointment and you can't get in at their next available one (like if you're hours away) you are very possibly making the trip for nothing because they won't tell you if your appointment is no longer valid until you try to go to your appointment.
