Wow. My father in law lives on the northern lincoln. Today he fell and apparently broke his hop. Well first it took about 20 minutes for the ambulance to get there. So much for area coverage i guess it is not cost effective. so much for patient care. The second they moved him off the floor to the gurney and once in the ambulance then gave pain medications. Anothwr guess is the screaming in pain is not an indicator. I recently retired as a firefighter paramedic. Started working ambulances on 1981 so i think k know what i am talking about. Bottom line patient comfort is not on the plan and i am sure this is not an isolated case

I called in an accident today and was surprised AMR showed up first but did nothing to address the injuries of the man needing first aid. They just ignored the scene and waited for the paramedics to show up. My kids were equally wondering why they simply just wait. Likely it's for liability reasons. I sure hope they are not a first responder with anyone I care about.

Horrible customer service! Still fighting with billing several years later for an ambulance ride for my son that was covered under insurance but customer service refuses to bill our insurance and has sent to collections!

To Troy Conway with the racist remark Latinos are not the only ethnic group that works here this is a very diverse company with people with different colors and shapes before you speak on what you don't know get your facts straight.

Caught Covid 19 virus in December 2020, went to Sutter Hospital Christmas Eve, received 2 bags of fluid and returned home feeling better than when I arrived. A week later my husband is sick on New Years Eve with Covid and i call for an ambulance to transport him. AMR arrives and assists with his very low 30 blood sugar and Covid and drives him 4 miles to Mercy Hospital. AMR bills us more than $4500 for the transport. After 3 months of calling our medical insurance company they say its been paid and I shouldn't get any more threatening invoices. Nope...they keep coming. I would think there should be caps/limits on medical transports. Make a fair profit but no gouging allowed. A thousand dollars per mile is sickening. After researching who is behind AMR I read that AMR is owned by KKR a venture capital company. I sent a letter of complaint to City Mayor, Congress and Senators. STOP CAPITAL INVESTORS from hijacking our medical services. Hospitals, Ambulances, Urgent Care or emergency dental and eye care. These services should be regulated so they make a profit (while investing in updated equipment) but not gouging everyday workers or the uninsured. If your insurance company has a typical contract rate, all ambulance carriers should abide by that rate (perhaps with some very reasonable extra as a direct charge to passenger) OR just don't come to the pick up call and let the Fire Dept. help instead. USA is becoming g too driven by high profits for shareholders and Investors. Where is our humanity?????
