I had lost my right leg below the knee in a motorcycle accident and found myself under Dr. Browns care. It took two surgeries to get everything fixed up. I met Dr. Brown briefly before both surgeries and was very much comforted by his demeanor and professionalism. My leg is healing up very well and my pain level is very manageable which I'm am convinced is because of Dr. Browns skill in putting my leg back together. Thank you Dr. Brown for what you do and for the comforting words before surgery and in your visits as I recovered.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Steven Brown for my 7 year old son. I originally made by appointment 6 weeks for 4/2/18 and had to change it to today due to a change in my schedule. We arrived on time (10am) and I brought the completed paperwork that was mailed to me (had to add dates and a couple signature) and provided it to the receptionist to check in. The room was packed but I figured that was because there are several different doctors working within the same office. I had my 7 and 2 year old sons with me (whom were getting impatient) and when I realized it was 10:30 I asked the receptionist how much longer would it be before we would be seen. She advised that the doctor is behind and trying to catch up but that still didn't indicate how much longer we'd have to wait to be seen. After waiting another 15 minutes and not being called, I got up to tell the receptionist that we would be leaving. She advised that we would be called next but when I asked how long would we be sitting in the room waiting for the doctor, she couldn't provide a timeframe. I asked for our paperwork back and left. I don't know if this was just an off day for this doctor or if this is a custom practice, however first impressions are important and this wasn't a good one. Doctors need to start respecting people's time and honoring their appointments. I understand a 15 min delay but not 45-1hr wait to be seen, that is just disrespectful in my opinion. Why even make an appointment? Doctors should not be double or triple booking people within unrealistic time frames. Based upon this experience I'm not sure if I'll be coming back.
