He may seem pleasant at 1st, but he can't be trusted. His staff began questioning me about my religion, too, asking if & where I went and if it was "liberal". There's relilgious lit. in front office. He invented these very bulky implants several times bigger than conventional. Pounds them in for a couple hours. Mine (lower rear right of jaw) failed at end of treatment. (& bone shrank--bad news.) He Denied it failed, in spite of 2 dentists and great pain telling me different. Just kept me on antibiotics. Cost $800 for 10 mins. work by a periodontist to get them out. Should have tried myself. Restorations too low. So, 6 months into treatment, he began trying to adjust other teeth down. That was not part of dental plan. Would not take "no" for an answer. Just approaches w/ drill and puts it suddenly in mouth. I Actually pushed his hand away on 2 occasions. Drilled off the cusp from a 5 unit bridge. I'm so sad--needed that cusp. Treatment got rougher and rougher. Without inner cusp (1st upper bicusped) My lower front teeth have been rapidly wearing down almost to the gum now and need crowns to save , its affected my vitality a lot, but I always have hope. I now have a problem in that I don't trust dentists since this. He did save one tooth with an old root canal, though. An UPPER front tooth. He did fix it with a 1 hr. root surgery ( hurt for years but other dentists had not told me of surgery). But his implants & crowns & desire to drill other teeth is frightening. People think you can sue a dentist, but it costs thousands and malpractice lawyers will tell you they don't often take dental malpractice cases, if at all. This from experience. I filed appropriate complaints; went to senior legal clinic. Dentists recommended a partial. Afraid it wouldn't work with little bone left. Now I wish I had done that in view of the wearing down of lower fronts. Treatment under Dr. Roberts went on for 2 yrs. ending in about 2000. Now thinking I should have tried small claims.
