This is my second review and a follow up of Gary and his team and their work. It's been 3 years since he replaced the roofs of two different houses  my family owns. They are both mid century with flat roofs which notoriously leak. Over the years they have been patched and fixed making it even more challenging to replace. However, after yet another a week of VERY heavy rain and wind here in LA there was not one leak in either house! Not one! These guys are the real deal, honest, fair priced and excellent work. He books out fast so schedule with him soon if you want work done. Thanks again Gary and team for keeping us dry and safe! PS the reviews about not getting calls returned, NEVER had a problem getting a hold of Gary or his wife. They are a small business and I found them to be very professional in that department as well.

We had a very nice experience during the quote process with Gary.  He gave the most thorough quote and submitted his references with his quote.  His quote is fair and he is polite and professional .  They are our first choice for my parents roof repair-  though we haven't been able to proceed yet that has nothing to do with the company, we hope to start soon and can update with the results!

I found Allied Coastal Roofing and Building Service to be reliable, punctual, easy to work with and highly ethical in dealing with their customers. Gary and everyone in his crew did a fantastic job of completely replacing my roof and painting the house! I came across Allied Coastal in the local Nextdoor App where Gary's name had come up, favorably, many times. I did a little more research and found the company came up as one of the top 3 rated locally so I decided to give them a call. My call was returned within 24 hours. Gary's bid was fair and mid-range in comparison to the others I had gotten. His knowledge, professionalism and willingness to take time to answer all of my questions gave me confidence that I could work with him. He and his people were punctual, reliable and cleaned up nicely after they were done. The job was started earlier than originally estimated and finished quickly, in 4 days. The need for a 4th day was due to some unforeseen problems found when the roof was removed. The painters who work for him were equally as professional and detail oriented as the roofing crew had been. I am very pleased with the outcome of both the roof and the paint job. We recently had our old, leaky tile roof repaired by Allied Coastal Roofing and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone that needs their roof repaired. The owner, Gary, is an old school craftsman that takes great pride in his company and work. When discussing the proposals for the job he gave me several options and did not try to pressure me or upsell me on anything. While there are other roofers out there that may be cheaper, you won't be getting the level of quality and experience, especially with tile roofs, that you will with Allied Coastal. As for the work, it was done very efficiently and professionally. A lot of attention to detail from the bird stops to the alignment of the tiles. They even fixed and cleaned our uneven gutters that was letting water pool up in certain areas. And after each day the team was always sure to clean up thoroughly. But most importantly, our project was completed on time with no surprise costs. Another impressive aspect about the whole experience is the amount of communication and information I got from the on-site manager, Oscar, throughout the entire project. He provided regular updates as well as informing me about damage that was hidden under the tiles. He even provided numerous pictures of everything when I asked. Oscar is friendly, courteous, and professional. He is very conscious of the safety and comfort of the residents inside the home as well as his team. Really great person to work with. So if you are looking for true professionals to repair an old tile roof or install a new one give Gary and his team a call.
