Some of the worst internet service I have ever received. Internet has been working at a dial up speed for the past 3 weeks. even after calling multiply times trying to solve the issue. What is the point of paying an outrageous rate for internet that is horrible along with zero tech support

As a network engineer, my family often calls me for help. Recently my sister called me for help because her internet is routinely extremely slow and disconnects constantly. When she gave me the name I looked up and saw that the 5Mb/s package is $50. That...is an astounding price for such a tiny amount of bandwidth. It's cleverly hidden as 5000kb/s on their website, but make no mistake that is painfully slow in today's world, and my experience using the network was extremely bad. To isolate the issue, I removed all of the house network devices and did tests at the demarcation point itself (a direct connection to the internet feed coming into the house) and it was coming in at 2.7Mb/s. This isn't fast enough to even play a show on Netflix. For the gamers - the reason you are lagging is because of extremely high latency (speed). Some of my tests were as high as 200-300ms, which is going to translate into lag no matter how much bandwidth they offer you. There are better options out there. I would look into using cellular and getting a a device capable of sending a 4G/LTE signal into your home network. To be fair, I did not interact with the company. I have no reason to think they wont be helpful. But this is a rating based on the network quality that I observed as an engineer, and it was terrible. Even if it was operating at advertised speeds, it would be a terrible value.
