Marinello Schools of Beauty

I am in the massage therapy program and couln't be happier. I have an amazing instructor and great classmates. We each get out of it what we put in. I highly recommend the program if you are looking for a new career or the services if you're looking for a massage.

I am a new student at Marinello's School of Beauty in Redding, and am proud and happy to be learning and being able to work on guests as well. I am a people person. The school does have a sterilization process we all must follow.. there is always a Instructor on the floor, and in all areas of the school if there there is ever a problem a student needs help with. We DO NOT WEAR SWEATS!! NOR DO WE LAY ON THE FLOOR!! These ladies and gentlemen are all learning, and the guests come in because they don't have to pay high prices, because we are all students and again i will say "learning to better themselves". A lot of those guests DO request certain technicians because of their prior experience, and attentiveness given them. Some of those guests become their clients when that particular student passes their Exam to receive their license to work!! All of the students, however they apply themselves, whether they want to actually pursue this avenue or not, is their decision.. For anyone who has or may have an unpleasant experience, please do not judge the school for that.. as there are many other students you can choose from, or ask that the Instructor check on the work being done! Its that easy!!! All disposable items are thrown away and never used on anyone other then you, and the implements that can be sanitized ARE, before they can be used on any other guest! Tubs used for pedicures have an insert and they are thrown away, and the tubs themselves are cleaned and sanitized as well.. as for the Massage room.. all are students.. if you want total privacy then you would have to pay for it, again.. this is a school of students and that's why you only pay the prices you do!!!

I am a current marinello student. i have read all these posts and i just wanted to add that a LOT of things have changed..new teachers that actually care. also better quality....and to correct another post. we do not buy our own stuff. .we are given everything we need in our kits. like with any school. .some people are good at things. and some people just are not...just don't hate the school because of one student not caring...I hope you all come back and have a better experience!

previous student. please don't go here, spend 21,000 else where. failed state board, high turn over rate of teachers, never practiced state board testing, NOT worth it. :( just had to start paying off school loans- i pay over 100 a month, for a school that taught me nothing. if i could do it all over i'd go to shasta school of cosmetology

This is the only place I will go to get my long hair trimmed because the students actually listen to how much you want taken off. It's a steal for a haircut. I've been there about 4 times for a haircut and it has been very good except for one time it was a little unbalanced. The massage room is a bit intimating and not private, but for half the price of anywhere else it's worth it. I've had two different students massage me and they were both excellent! I do wish they emphasized on making the atmosphere more professional and I did not have a good mani/pedi experience there but will definitely continue to get my hair trimmed there.
