Colwell came highly recommended from my concrete contractor to grade our 1 acre field, in preparation for a 2200 square foot barn. My first impression of Bill (the owner) was that of a man with integrity, and knowledge of his business. He was also accommodating of the fact that we needed to keep costs down, and explained the different ways they could help facilitate that. Bill’s son Nolan was lead excavator on the project. He is extremely knowledgeable about his profession, and can work magic with a Caterpillar excavator. We had so many gopher and squirrel holes we ended up going up to 5’ deep in some places to properly compact the land to ensure a stable foundation. Nolan was also able to unearth a boulder we wanted moved, did an amazing job digging out our future pond, and made the entire acre beautiful. i can’t say enough good things about their workmanship, and just now nice Bill and Nolan are, as well as every one else that they work with. You won’t regret hiring these guys!
