Old Julian Vineyards & Winery

We originally found this winery as part of the Ramona Wine Association wine trail and are we glad we did! Our friends are red wine drinkers while we prefer white wines. From the very first visit, we have both been incredibly impressed with the quality of the wine. Recently, they have had live music and I really can't think of a much better way to spend a fall afternoon than listening to live music, playing cards with friends, and sharing a bottle of Viognier. In addition to their great wines, they have been creating several unique and tasty brandies that are well worth exploring. All in all, this is our favorite winery, and we are very happy to be part of their wine club!

Stopped by for a wine tasting. They charge $10 for 4 wines in plastic shot cups on a numbered card board tray/drink carrier. Server said he'd be back but never came back. Gave no information. I could see him chatting with other employee. He Clearly forgot about us. Wines were pricey and sadly forgettable.

The best part about visiting here was the Vineyard view. It was a hot Father's day over 90. We sat outside under misters and umbrella. Server gave us each 4 plastic cups of different varietals. No information or discourse. Wine was rather flat. Maybe it was the heat.
