Two stars, only because my experience with this office was generally good prior to the pandemic. My child has severe food allergies and asthma, and had been a patient here for 7 years. When trying to decide if my child should attend summer school in person or online, I called and left a message for the doctor. Summer school is not mandatory, and I was not looking for a reason to excuse my child from school. I was called back by a nurse, who proceeded to read me a legal disclaimer, stating I should check with the CDC website, and the school administrator. Well, I had done both. Those sources said to check with your child's treating physician. I called a doctor, for medical advice, pertinent to their long term patient, and I got a non answer written clearly by legal. I told the nurse that this was a bit of a punt. The CDC is not a personal physician. The nurse apologized profusely, and I understood the predicament she was in. But I will never recommend to others, nor trust my child's health with a "doctor" who is not willing to treat their patients. Medical advice specific to my child's condition was called for here. I was not advised to make an in person or virtual appointment. Nothing was said specific to my child at all. Not regarding asthmatic condition, symptoms that overlap covid, or risk factors for an unvaccinated young child with respritory issues. Poor play by this office, and a HARD PASS for caring parents.
