I ;used to shop mostly at Safeway. I just found out they are having INstaCart come on board. This is very bad. their site says they will only use InstaCart for rush orders. I ordered like normal, Safeway chose to use Insta Cart. My order was messed up big time. the gal at Safeway for delivery orders, was not much help. I have shopped at Safeway since it was in El Cerrito at San Pablo and Eurkea (where the guitar center used to be). they not only over charged me, but took tip money without my consent. I thought safeway was better than that.

If you like inconvenience and inconsistency I would highly recommend that you use Safeway home delivery. On one occasion I paid for $100 worth of meat that ended up being out of stock. I get this, sometimes what is on the shelf does not match with what is listed as available on the website, however it took 5 days to receive my refund. Today I ordered 30 items and six were missing. After waiting on hold with customer service for 26 minutes I hung up and requested a refund. This is not a free service, we pay for it plus add a tip. It would have been easier to to go the store myself. I would recommend that the Safeway leadership team reach out to Jeff Bezos for some much needed support. He has clearly figured it out, why can't you?

I would give a zero star and I would elaborate "why" BUT in dealing with Safeway customer service and Safeway management, I realize I'm just wasting my time. SO AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE, I JUST GIVE UP AND WE'LL SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE

I will NO LONGER BE SHOPPING at Safeway until they CHANGE/DROP their Member Discount Program. I sick of having to prep before shopping! Once there if you missed a sale you have to scan and do extra steps to get the savings. Why should I have to have your App to get the sale price. I am supporting you store by going there. I want to go in get my stuff for the same price everyone else is paying and get out back to my hectic life. Good luck Safeway I'm headed to the other grocery stores across the street from Safeway.
