I went in last year looking for a job because I was being downsized from another company.  Sent my resume in and had a placement in 48 hours.  When I went to the assignment, I was told to go home after 2 and 1/2 hours with no explanation.  Furthermore, when I followed up with Kelly Services immediately after the incident, they told me this company was looking for someone else, and kept them as a client.  They never followed up on me with another assignment.  Never use them again or refer them to anyone.  Bad professional manners and cruel way to treat job seekers.

i am writing this on behalf of someone....i truly hope no one decides to receive any kind of employment through this temp agency they lie, do not care about their employees and worst of all will fire you because they failed on their end to submit things correctly! they fired my bf back in 2021 because his original temp agency backed out of their contract and kelly services took over. they stated he did not have the correct paperwork and he needs to resubmit it. instead of giving him time to do so they fired him! when he got rehired 2 months later, they deducted his $25 per hour he was originally hired at to $20 per hour! i think that is bs due to the fact on indeed and other hiring websites you clearly stated a starting pay of $21 or more for the same exact job!  we fought to have it back to the original amount but nothing ever got resolved after that. he still continued to work because we needed the money. that should have been the first sign of things to come! jumping to the end of july 2022, he got extremely sick and was in the hospital. when he attempted to return to work with a doctors note, they told us the whole company got laid off. they did not attempt to help any of the temp workers look for other jobs or offer any solutions to continue work somewhere else. kelly services also continued to deduct money out of his account for medical insurance that he could not afford. we called multiple times as well as submit claims via their website but no one reached out to us! on top of that he was not paid after being laid off until a month later! now here is where it gets worse....when he applied for edd, kelly services wrongfully told the state of ca he quit! that is a damn lie! now no one wants to help resolve the issue and we cannot get ahold of any one, surprise surprise!!!!!

I have been on one assignment with Kelly Services for over 8 months. During this time, I may have heard from the recruiter 2 times, at best. I was surprised to learn that I would not be paid holiday pay until I accrued over 925 hours - so from May through November, no holiday pay or vacation accrual. When I last spoke to my recruiter in early November questioning if I would get paid for Thanksgiving Day, he said that I should have accrued enough hours by then, but as the day approached, he would contact me. Thanksgiving came and went and no calls.  I called him this week and he didn't first, know how many work days it took to accrue the holiday pay and 2) said he would get back to me and never has. Recommendation:  if you go through Kelly Services, make sure you take into account that you will NOT get paid for holidays or any vacation days even though you may be on one assignment for a very long time.  Also, choose your recruiter wisely.  Maybe get someone who is knowledgeable and pro-active in wanting to keep you as a Kelly Services temporary employee.  They seem to have forgotten, that we, who are out there on Kelly Services assignments, are the ones that pay for their salaries.
