UPDATE: Corporate needs to come in and save this one. My wife and I are Rubio's fans and have been hoping and praying that the service and portions get sorted out but we give up on this location. Last night was a bad joke: the guy at the register wanders around zombie-like, texting on his phone, munching on stuff, then using the same fingers that he handles cash with to put cheese on food. Meanwhile the lobby is a mess even though there are hardly any customers, and the premium drinks are empty. The $10 bowl my wife ordered arrives with 1/3 the normal portion. Not 2/3, not even 1/2, literally the bowl was 1/3 full. I thought we must be on hidden camera or something. I tried to alert corporate about this a while back, they just referred me to the area manager who made multiple promises via email, then didn't follow through on any of them. The food tastes good sometimes but just be warned you will be rolling the dice on every aspect of your experience here, and you are very likely to wait a long time to be served.

I went in the other day and I ordered a 2 taco plate with rice and beans To Go. I come here quite a lot on my lunch so I did not bother to check the box until I got home because the person who handed it to me read me my order. When I got home, it turned I didn't have any rice or beans, just the tacos, but they still charged for the full plate. I don't live nearby so it wasn't worth me driving all the way back to Petaluma just get the rice and beans. I have never had an issue before and this won't prevent me from coming back, but it is disappointing.
