I'm a big French toast fan. This place makes it from denser challah bread fried crispy with extra cinnamon. Quite tasty. Sometimes challah French toast comes out soggy but not here. As a southerner I'm also always on the lookout for good biscuits. The type they have here my grandmother called "beaten biscuits", smaller and less fluffy than the mainstream biscuits. Here they are still fluffier than beaten biscuits, so my toddler was still happy eating them. Only downside is ambience. But the friendly service, price, and food make up for it.

Im not sure where all of the other people who posted reviews on here usually eat, but this was by far the WORST food I have ever had in my life. The gravy was this odd brown color and had a taste that is indescribably bad and had nothing that even resembled sausage in it...the biscuits were dry and flavorless...the hash was more like chopped up BAD beef stew than corned beef hash...and the pancake was as far from light and fluffy as you can get...this was our first, and last time, eating here and if anyone asks I will steer them away....

When we lived in Petaluma it was tradition to have Sunday breakfast at Three Cooks. Whenever we visit from Montana, we always eat at Three Cooks. It is great to know that the food is still great and the service excellent. You have to try their hole in the wall!
