Arroya Cleaners

Today I need to get some things cleaned and oddly enough I remembered Arroyo Cleaners. It has been years since I wrote that first review but I'd left out two small details. Funny how memories pop up good and bad and they influence your current decisions. So here goes with the brain lint... 1. We'd gotten some coat hangers from that location about four years prior to the review. I went in, asked the man behind the counter and he very kindly gave me two handfuls. White hangers that we still use. We had a good impression that we could act on later but unfortunately we never saw that man again.    2. My senior father needed some items dry cleaned so we went to Arroyo - based on #1, the hanger experience. I always felt my father was taken advantage of due to his age. Now years later I need a dry cleaner. Other businesses in town have dozens of good reviews. Not this place, they only have four and the majority are just like mine. I felt I owed it to Arroyo to mention the hangers. Everything else is on them.

Had a shirt and pants dry cleaned here for a wedding two weeks prior to the big day. Both articles of clothing were "lost" for a week up until three days before the wedding. Nice man behind the counter but will not be coming back. In attempts to get any updates, no one answers the phone number listed on here.

I am very surprised to see the previous reviews. We live nearby and were using Arroyo Cleaners for years for different services including cleaning clothes and blankets as well as alterations and were always happy with the results. It was also a pleasant experience, the owner was cheerful and polite and on several occasions offered the next day service. The prices are reasonable and not higher that others in Petaluma. I guess your experience was just a ' glitch ' in the system, maybe both parties were ' feeling under the weather '

I would have to agree with the other Yelp review!!!  I have had 3 bad experiences with The owner of Arroya Cleaners so I guess shame on me for continuing to give her chance after chance. She doesn't have any concept of honoring the time she gives you for pick-up. And after letting her know you are unhappy with the service I think she raises the price.  I had a simple request to be done and needed it a week and a half later, I went in the day after I was told it would be ready and she hadn't touched it yet. Told to come back Monday and she was closed for some Immigrants rally(?) I had to leave a message on the phone that I would be in the next morning before leaving and she finally had it done but over charged me. The exact some thing happened the other time.  I decided she was close to home and would give her a chance but she just isn't worth it.  I would never go back and never tell anyone else to use her.

It isn't worth going to local businesses were you are treated rudely by the owner. She is abrupt, unfriendly and most importantly changes the prices on whim. She doesn't care what you think and doesn't think she needs to be kind. There are cleaners all over Petaluma . Use one that appreciates your business.
